Real families don’t stand in a straight line and smile on cue, so I don’t ask you to. We’ll start with one easy all-together portrait for the fridge (and for Grandma), then I’ll let the kids run, tumble, and giggle while I catch what actually happens.
Sessions usually happen outdoors around Franklin and Greenwood in the hour before sunset, when the light is soft and warm and everyone looks their best. Bring the dog. Bring the grandparents. Bring the toddler who refuses to wear shoes.

What should we wear?
Comfortable clothes you feel like yourself in. Coordinate, don’t match: pick two or three colors that play nicely together and mix in a little texture. Avoid big logos and neon. The what-to-wear guide on this site has color ideas for every season.
We’re awkward in front of a camera. Will that be a problem?
Not at all. Most people feel that way, and it’s my job to fix it. I give easy prompts instead of stiff poses, and the first few minutes are just for warming up.
Can we bring our dog (or horse)?
Please do. Pets are family, and some of my favorite photos have four legs in them.
What happens if it rains?
We’ll keep an eye on the forecast together and pick a new date if the weather won’t cooperate. Overcast skies are actually lovely for photos, so a few clouds aren’t a dealbreaker.
How long until our gallery is ready?
Portrait sessions are typically delivered within two to three weeks. Wedding turnaround depends on the package: two weeks for The Ceremony and three weeks for The Celebration and The Heirloom.
